Kaleshwaram project secures Hyderabad’s water supply for the future

Hyderabad is facing any such issues in the foreseeable future even if there is low rainfall, all thanks to the Telangana government’s massive â‚1,80,190 crore Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project launched in June.
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) supplies 462 million gallons per day (MGD) to the capital city from the Krishna (phase 1, 2 and 3) and Godavari (phase-1) projects, and the Osmansagar, and Himayat Sagar reservoirs.
The two reservoirs put supply just 40 MGD of water. They were built close to a century ago to supply water to the city.

In a first, the government has recognized and defined aggregators as digital intermediaries or marketplaces which can be used by passengers to connect with a driver for transportation, under the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill, 2019.
The Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, did not recognize cab aggregators as separate entity.
